Planning equipment for a personal training studio, workplace gym or shared fitness room in Calgary? Start with your facility’s users, training needs and expected daily use. Fitness Canada can discuss your equipment shortlist and help clarify product specifications before you order.

Discuss your facility equipment requirements | Browse strength equipment

Confirm suitability before purchasing: equipment requirements differ between a private training room and a busy public gym. Check the intended use, load limits, installation requirements and commercial warranty for each model. A product’s appearance or size alone does not establish suitability for your facility.

Equipment planning for different facilities

Personal training studios

Build your shortlist around the sessions you deliver and the number of clients training at once. Compare dumbbells, benches, racks and cages, and functional trainers. Consider how clients move between stations and where weights and attachments will be stored. Confirm the selected models are appropriate for your supervision, usage and exercise requirements.

Workplace and condo fitness rooms

For a shared room, list the expected users and peak periods before choosing equipment. Compare the space needed for strength and cardio equipment, including operating clearances and access for maintenance. Ask about the controls, adjustments and maintenance requirements of each proposed model. Coordinate access, installation and any building approvals with your property manager.

Higher-use gyms and training facilities

Tell us the expected daily usage, number of users and activities before requesting a quote. Do not assume a home-use model is appropriate for continuous commercial use. Confirm the equipment’s intended application and warranty terms in writing before placing an order.

  • Free-weight area: compare dumbbells, barbells and weight plates, with suitable storage for the selected sizes and quantities.
  • Strength stations: explore racks and cages, benches and cable training equipment. Check operating space, compatible attachments and model-specific limits.
  • Conditioning: browse cardio equipment and confirm that each selected model fits your expected usage and available space.
  • Flooring: compare flooring and mats for the planned activities. Flooring products do not replace checking the building floor’s suitability or the equipment’s installation requirements.

These categories are a starting point for an enquiry, not a statement that every listed product is suitable for every commercial setting. Send the exact models or product links with your intended use so suitability can be reviewed.

What to include in your enquiry

A clear project brief helps us answer product and delivery questions without repeated back-and-forth. Please include:

  • Facility type, Calgary address or delivery postal code, and a contact person.
  • Expected users, daily usage and the types of training you plan to support.
  • Equipment names or links, quantities and any required accessories.
  • Room width, length, ceiling height and any fixed obstructions.
  • Doorways, stairs, elevators, loading access and the intended installation location.
  • Your budget range, desired delivery timing and whether assembly is needed.

Send your equipment enquiry. For delivery pricing on large equipment, use our freight quote request and include the same access details. Availability, delivery timing and service arrangements must be confirmed for your order.

Commercial warranty and ongoing care

Our warranty policy states that website-listed warranty coverage applies to residential use. For commercial use, the policy provides a one-year warranty unless otherwise specified in writing. Read the full policy for coverage, exclusions and conditions, and confirm any product-specific written terms before buying.

Plan for routine inspection and maintenance according to the equipment instructions. Ask about relevant replacement parts and maintenance requirements before choosing a model. Keep proof of purchase and any written confirmation of commercial terms with your facility records.

Commercial equipment questions

Does every product have the same commercial warranty?

Refer to the commercial-use terms in our warranty policy and any written product-specific agreement. Do not apply a residential warranty duration to a commercial purchase without confirmation.

Can I request several items together?

Send one equipment list with quantities, intended use and delivery details through our contact page. Ask for confirmation of availability and the complete order requirements. No volume discount or fixed lead time is implied.

What if I am buying for my own home?
